About the Event

Independent artist engaged in research and work in the field of landscape architecture design and art design education. Works "City Mobile Farm", "Ripple", and "Wood Structure with Urban Farming" have been exhibited in the United States, China, and Italy. Top 6 finalist in Atlanta, GA’s DomestiCITY design contest. RISD Continuing Education Lecturer, she has won many awards in prestigious” competitions such as “Design in Public Contest”. Her works emphasize connecting with the world through conveying belief in love and compassion.

In this session, Yixin brings us classic cases of American community garden design-Seattle P-Patch and Beacon Food Forest. These created job opportunities and income sources for low-income groups and immigrants, a place for environmental education for students and teachers, and also provided a space for work and interaction amongst volunteers enthusiastic about social service.
