About the Event
In 1998, an unscrupulous British scientist published false papers for personal gain. He spread rumors that the MMR vaccine caused autism, resulting in a significant drop in the vaccination rate, and the MMR that could have been eliminated continued to rage. It was easy to spread rumors but difficult to refute them. Even though extensive scientific research has proven that the MMR vaccine has nothing to do with autism, many people, including medical professionals, still believe the rumors and refuse to get vaccinated even today, more than 20 years later.
